Connoisseur Media is continuing to streamline its portfolio following last year’s large-scale acquisition activity, announcing the sale of its Topeka radio station cluster to MSC Radio Group, a locally based broadcaster in northeast Kansas.

The transaction includes 98.5 KSAJ-FM, 106.9 KTPK-FM, and 580 AM and 94.5 FM WIBW. The deal is currently pending FCC approval and is expected to close in early summer. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

These stations became part of Connoisseur Media’s portfolio through its acquisition of Alpha Media’s properties last year. The sale represents another step in the company’s broader strategy to refine its holdings and concentrate resources in select growth markets.

MSC Radio Group, the buyer in the transaction, operates several stations along the Kansas-Nebraska border and has built a strong presence through locally focused programming. With the addition of the Topeka cluster, the company will expand into a larger market while maintaining its emphasis on community engagement, local business support, and live programming.

The group has developed a reputation for its coverage of high school sports, with a significant portion of its team dedicated to broadcasting live events across its network. Its leadership, rooted in local experience, continues to guide its expansion strategy with a focus on strengthening regional connections.

Greg Guy of Tideline Partners served as broker on the transaction, representing MSC Radio Group. Connoisseur Media was represented by Wilkinson Barker Knauer, while MSC Radio Group was represented by Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth.

The transaction reflects continued movement across the radio industry as companies reposition assets and local operators expand their reach into new markets.
