Weigel Agrees to Acquire Indianapolis Television Station

“SuperFrank” Copsidas has decided to part ways with a Class A digital low-power television station licensed to a small town in Indiana between Kokomo and Indianapolis. The buyer is the Norman Shapiro-led, Chicago-based company that is the parent of the MeTV Network and broadcast TV stations in the Windy City and in Milwaukee, among other locales.
WJSJ-CD is being acquired by Weigel Broadcasting‘s TV-49 Inc. from Copsidas’ 5GTV LLC.
A $1.6 million purchase price has been agreed to by the parties.
An $80,000 deposit has been made by Copsidas to the Weigel subsidiary.
